Meet the Writing Team

Our writers don't just write the pieces you read. They find new stories, contact people for interviews, and constantly collaborate so you have a variety of content.

Anish Yalavarthi is our Executive Editor. He aspires to be a radiologist. He enjoys engaging in sports such as basketball, volleyball, and tennis. Anish also loves to listen to music and it is one of his favorite pastimes. He joined People Project Magazine to showcase his culture and to do something that connects with his roots. He hopes to stick with People Project Magazine and do something for the better of all people, and he is exhilarated by that thought. Through People Project Magazine, he hopes to help immigrants feel less excluded and to give them a sense of the beautiful originality he connects with through this magazine. He believes that originality is one that every immigrant should be proud of. Along with that, he hopes to give immigrants a way to positively connect with their past.

Abby Juson is one of our writing interns. She enjoys singing and fashion. She believes the reason why she is extremely fond of those hobbies is that they give opportunities for self-expression. In the future, she plans to become a medical scientist because she wants to help find cures for diseases. She believes in the saying: "everything happens for a reason". She joined and stayed with People Project Magazine because she genuinely admires the magazine's mission to share about world cultures' achievements and experiences. Abby looks forward to learning about other cultures and sharing people's stories for People Project. She specifically wants to share stories about people who don't really have the voice or position to share their own stories.

Arushi Chauhan is one of our writers/editors. She is interested in the STEM field and wants to become an engineer. She joined People Project Magazine to share information about her unique Indian culture even though she's American born. Since her parents are immigrants, balancing the different American and Indian lifestyles can be difficult. She wanted to share her experience and knowledge about living with both cultures through People Project Magazine so other people in similar situations are able to relate. She looks forward to writing interesting articles that inform people about different cultures and world news.

Bianca Cura is one of our writers. Bianca has always been interested in writing; joining People Project Magazine has given her the opportunity to not only showcase her writing, but to also commemorate the many diverse cultures in the community. She looks forward to sharing the stories of people who might have otherwise been overlooked. Celebrating diversity is very important to her, and she wants to spread the message that every culture is beautiful and deserves to be appreciated. In her free time, she enjoys anything creative-- whether that be photography, dancing, and even filming and editing her own videos. She also loves watching movies and listening to music. Although her hobbies are more artistically-centered, she plans to pursue a career in computer science.
